You may search for a Marriage License that was applied for in Richland County. Licenses
applied for before 1993 may not show a date of marriage. A name search is available below.
If you find the license you are searching for, you can order it online only by following the
instructions below.
If you did not apply for your license in the Richland County Probate Court,
please go to
SC DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH
to request a copy of your SC marriage license.
REQUIREMENTS:

Enter both party names as they appear on the Marriage License. If the names are entered
incorrectly, the Marriage License may not be found. Both names are required.

On the following page, be sure to enter your complete mailing address including Apartment # (if any).

The fee is $8.00 per copy. You may pay online using a debit or credit
card by clicking the "Pay Now" button at the bottom of the request form.

Processing the Certified Copy Request:
Your request will be processed within
2 business days of the completed
request form. We do not process requests before 8:30A.M. or after 5:00P.M. on weekdays,
weekends, or on county holidays.
The Certified Copy of the Marriage License will
be mailed to the address provided on the request. If there is additional information
needed, an email will be sent to the email address provided on the request.
*** Upon receipt of the requested information and verification of payment, the request will
be processed and mailed.
